Abby Billings reached base four times, including two hits, two walks, along with two RBI. The biggest at bat of the day for Billings came in the only time she was retired, as a ground out in the top of the 8th scored the eventual game winning run when Elsie Carter crossed the plate to give Sumner the 5-4 win over previously undefeated Washington Academy.

The two teams each scored a run in the third innings after playing two scoreless innings. Sumner put three runs on the board in the fourth inning, sparked by a hit by Billings that scored Ciara Trundy. The Raiders responded with a run in the bottom of the fourth inning. The game remained 4-2 until Washington Academy rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Carter started the eighth inning with a triple, that was followed by the Billings run scoring grounder.. Jeanna Colby worked around a double in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the lady Tigers the huge heal point worthy win. Colby earned the win in the circle, allowing only one earned run on five hits and four walks, while striking out seven. Brooklyn Newenham scored two runs from the leadoff spot. Carter, Billings, and Trundy each scored one run. Colby had one RBI. The win moved Sumner (7-4) up to second in the MPA Class C heal point standings. They will host George Stevens on Monday.

Sadie Story led the Lady Raiders offense. She reached base three times on two hits (including a double), and two RBI. Bella Cirone scored two runs from the leadoff spot. Cirone struck out 18, allowing only one earned run on seven hits and five walks. Washington Academy (11-1) will host Orono on Monday.
