Wisconsin women's hockey showed why they're the #1 team in the country and have won seven national titles on Friday night, as Laila Edwards (two goals, three assists), Caroline Harvey (two goals, two assists), and Kristen Simms (two goals, one assist) combined for 12 points in an impressive 9-0 shutout win over Maine at the Alfond Arena.

#1 Wisconsin finishes the sweep over Maine women's hockey 6-1. Lily Fetch scored for the Black Bears. The Badgers, now 17-1, led in shots on goal 61-17 (attempted shots were 110-33). Maine is now 3-14 and will host both Boston University and UConn in Hockey East play at the Alfond next Friday and Saturday night
Maine men's basketball falls to the hosts from Penn 77-64 in Philadelphia. Kellen Tynes 15 points, six assists, three rebounds, and three steals. The Black Bears play in the final day of the Cathedral Classic Invitational tomorrow against Navy.
