Maine women's ice hockey won the consolation game at the Battle for the Burgh Tournament in Pennsylvania Saturday afternoon, 6-2 over Robert Morris. Ann-Fredrique Guay had two goals and one assist, and Ida Kuoppala added one goal and two assists. The Black Bears are now 10-9 on the season and will host Boston College in Hockey East play next Saturday at 2 p.m.
In the America East opener- Maine women's basketball leads on the road at UMass-Lowell 39-27 at halftime. Adrianna Smith leads all scorers recording a double double in the first half with 17 points and 10 rebounds
Maine women's basketball defeated UMass-Lowell tonight in the conference opener 55-43. Adrianna Smith 23 points and 15 rebounds, Anne Simon 12 points. The Black Bears (8-7, 1-0 AE) will host the defending champion Vermont Catamounts in the Pit on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Maine men's hockey got behind 3-0 in the first period against Colgate. Victor Ostman was pulled after the third goal. After the Black Bears got one goal back, Thomas Freel has brought the Alfond crowd back to life scoring twice in the final 37 seconds of the second and it's now tied 3-3 after two periods
#7 Maine men's hockey and Colgate end in a 4-4 tie. Sully Scholle tied it with 2:25 left in regulation after the Raiders has taken the lead back early in the third period. The Black Bears record is now 13-3-2, and they play two games at UConn next weekend
