Final- Northeastern 6, #6 Maine 3. Huskies added an empty net goal late. The Black Bears fall to 16-5-2, 8-4-1 in Hockey East and will try to bounce back at #11 UMass Amherst tomorrow night at 7 p.m. 

Kajikawa Classic in Phoenix, Arizona- Maine softball drops their season opener 10-5 to Weber State. Nora Campo two-run double, and Anna Margetis a two-run homer. The Black Bears play again at 8:30 Eastern Time tonight against Grand Canyon University, and two more games tomorrow against Wisconsin and Arizona State

#7 Maine (17-5-2, 9-4-1 Hockey East) vs #10 Providence (15-8-2, 8-5-2) in a big two game conference series at the Alfond Arena in Orono. The teams are separated by two points in the Hockey East standings- Maine (3rd) 28 points, PC (4th) 26 points.
