Maine 45, Vermont 29- 4:32 left third quarter. Black Bears open the half on a run of 11-4. Rockwood has stepped up huge this evening, and is up to 10 points. Maine is shooting 5-7 (71.4%) in the first 5:28 of this period

End of third quarter- Maine 10 minutes away from advancing to the NCAA Tournament-leading Vermont 51-33. Black Bears 53.8% in third period shooting, almost 48% for the game

Vermont has trimmed a 22 point deficit to 58-46 with 3:52 to play in the fourth quarter. Winner headed to the Big Dance

NCAA TOURNAMENT BOUND!! Maine 64, Vermont 48- final in the America East Championship game. First trip to the dance since 2019 for the Black Bears. Four players in double figures, led by Adrianna Smith with 16 points

Maine baseball lost the series opener at Florida Atlantic University tonight in Boca Raton 15-2. Nick White had an RBI sacrifice fly and Connor Goodman had an RBI single for the Black Bears (2-12). The series continues Saturday at 4 p.m.

15 minutes to puck drop at Alfond Arena, #3 seed Maine men's hockey (22-10-2) vs #6 UNH (20-14-1) in the quarterfinal playoffs. First QF playoff game at home for the Black Bears in 12 years. Winner advances to the semifinals at TD Garden next Friday. Albin Boija in net for Maine. Use this thread for live scoring updates throughout

UNH has had the better chances so far, including seconds ago when a Maine turnover at their own blue line was fired off the post behind Boija. Still scoreless- 5:14 left in first
