University of Maine schedule and score updates
Maine baseball opened America East play today at Bryant today, and lost both ends of a doubleheader by identical 5-4 scores- in 8 innings in game one (7 inning game) and in 10 innings in game two. The Black Bears (2-16) look to salvage the final contest of the series tomorrow afternoon and also break their six game losing streak
Maine men's hockey (23-11-2) about to square off with Cornell (21-6-6) at the NCAA Tournament in Springfield, Massachusetts. First trip back to the regionals for the Black Bears since 2012. The game was a delayed start, because Denver and UMass went in double overtime with the Pioneers winning the first game 2-1. Victor Ostman will play in net, Albin Boija is sick and not able to go.
