Erin Speed has big game in leading PCHS to win over Bangor Christian

GUILFORD— Erin Speed recorded 24 points, 12 rebounds, eight steals, and three assists in leading the Piscataquis Community High School (PCHS) girls basketball team to a 51-22 over Bangor Christian on Tuesday afternoon.

PCHS outscored the Patriots 19-0 in the second quarter to take a commanding 37-8 halftime lead. Speed had 19 first half points. PCHS (7-2) will host Schenck on Thursday night.

Alivia Hunt added 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals for the Pirates. Lexi Rowell and Bailey Lemieux added six points each, while Meagan Lemieux and Hope Adkins contributed three and two points respectively. PCHS shot 10-16 from the free throw line.

Brianna Kieb and Morgan Hobert scored eight points each to lead the Patriots. Sydney Tozier added four points, while Rebekah Vadas chipped in with two. Bangor Christian (2-6) will travel to PVHS in Howland on Friday night.
