Camryn Rolfe named Charles Inn female athlete of the week

Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 263 past athlete of the week winners.

This week, we had seven Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Camryn Rolfe scored seven goals in three games. Rolfe joins Isaiah Bess  (5) (3-4-13), Trevor Lyford (3) (2-23-14), and Cymeria Robshaw (9-3-17) as student/athletes from Penquis high school to earn athlete of the week honors.

    Camryn Rolfe- Penquis- Soccer – scored four goals in 10-0 win over PCHS. Had two goals and two assists in 9-5 loss to Dexter. Had one goal in 4-2 loss to Central.

Runner up

    Hannah Dorman- Dexter – soccer- had four goals and one assist in 9-5 win over Penquis. Had two goals in 8-0 win over Searsport.

Other nominations

Lexi Ireland- PVHS – soccer- had a hat trick and one assist in 5-0 win over Bangor Christian.

Avery Herrick- Dexter – soccer – had three goals and three assists in 9-5 win over Penquis. Had two goals and three assists in 8-0 win over Searsport.

Rylee Poulin- Messalosnkee – field hockey – recorded a hat trick in 8-1 win over Lewiston.

Kaitlyn Smith- Messalosnkee- field hockey – recorded a hat trick in 8-1 win over Lewiston.

Nora Buck – Lawrence- field hockey- scored four goals in 5-0 win over Waterville.
