Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. This week, we had 10 Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Riley Geyer had five touchdowns (two rush and three pass) in leading Cony to a season opening football win. It is the third athlete of the week honor for Geyer. It is the third athlete of the week honor for Geyer.

- Riley Geyer- Cony- football- threw for 179 yards and two touchdowns plus rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns in 35-18 win over Mt. Blue.

- Aidan Munro- Oceanside – football- had 195 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 34-6 win over Waterville.
