January 17, 2021

Julius Randle had 20 points, and RJ Barrett added 19 Sunday afternoon as the New York Knicks broke their five game losing streak by ending the Boston Celtics five game win streak with a 105-75 win at TD Garden in Boston.

Boston (8-4) only shot 30% from the field, and 7-46 (15.2%) from the three point arc losing for the first time since a 96-93 setback at Detroit back on January 1. New York (6-8) led by as many as 37 in the win. Randle and Barrett both had a double double adding 12 and 11 rebounds to their point total, and rookie Immanuel Quickley added 17 points and eight assists. Jaylen Brown led Boston in the loss with a game high 25 points. Kemba Walker did return from injury and played for the first time this season, and had nine points in limited action. Celtics are at the 76ers on Wednesday night. You can read the more detailed recap from Sunday below-
