Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. If you want to sponsor the female or male athlete of the week email Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. Use that same email to send your nominations in during the week. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 330 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had two Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominationn. Sawyer Deprey averaged 29.5 points in leading Caribou to a pair of victories and helping the Vikings win the Division 1 Aroostook county and the all Aroostook county championship games. Deprey joins Alexa Massey (12-30-12), Donovan Savage (1-3-16), and Parker Deprey (2) (2-28-19) as student/athletes from Caribou high school that have earned athlete of the week honors.
Male athlete of the week March 8th-March 13th
- Sawyer Deprey- Caribou- basketball- scored 23 points in 83-55 win over Central Aroostook in division 1 Aroostook county final. Scored 36 points in 72-45 win over Southern Aroostook in all Aroostook county championship game.

- Josh Thomas- Central Aroostook- basketball- had 22 points in 68-66 win over Houlton.
