Luna Perry St. Peter earns third female athlete of the week honor

Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 364 past athlete of the week winners.

This week we had seven Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Luna Perry St. Peter averaged 20.7 points, 13 rebounds, and 5.3 assists to lead Deer Isle-Stonington to three wins. It is the third athlete of the week honor for Perry St. Peter

February 7th-February 12th

  • Luna Perry St. Peter – Deer Isle-Stonington- basketball- recorded 22 points, nine rebounds, six assists, four steals and four  blocks in 67-33 win over Jonesport- Beals. Recorded 28 points, 19 rebounds, 6 steals, 5 assists and 2 blocks in the 53-38 win over Narraguagus. Recorded 12 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks in  51-26 win over Searsport.

Runner up

  • Grace Jaffray- Ellsworth – basketball- scored 31 points in 61-46 win over Caribou.

Other nominations 

  • Callaway LePage- Skowhegan- basketball- had 25 points and 14 rebounds in 55-36 win over Cony.
  • Jayce Christopher- Skowhegan- basketball- had 14 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in 55-36 win over Cony.
  • Kiya Cook- Foxcroft- basketball- had 11 points (7 in 4th quarter), six rebounds, three steals, and two assists in 38-32 win over Dexter.
  • Holly Loring- PVHS- recorded 10 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, and two assists in 43-22 win over PCHS.
  • Elizabeth Kendall- PCHS- basketball- recorded 12 points, 13 rebounds, six blocks, and four steals in 43-22 loss to PVHS.
