Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 173 past athlete of the week winners.

This week, we had 10 Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. We had a very close vote, as Kolleen Bouchard from Houlton high school earned her third Roadrunner Taxi female athlete of the week, just edging out Camryn Lyons of Mattanawcook Academy.

Bouchard had three games where she filled up the stat sheet  leading Houlton to three wins. She had a triple double in a win over Presque Isle. Lyons filled up the stat sheet as well in leading the Lynx in wins against Old Town and Washington Academy.

Other nominations include Megan Peach from Dexter,Delani Bennett and Jordynne Littlefield  from PCHS, Olivia Brown from Nokomis,Nia Irving from Lawrnce, Tate Dolley from Machias, Faith Tirrell from Calais, and Kelli Kennedy from Narraguagus.

Kolleen Bouchard– Houlton- basketball- recorded 19 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists in 64-26 win over Mattanawcook. Had 22 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists in 63-42 win over Presque Isle. Recorded 16 points, 11 rebounds, and seven blocks in 69-36 win over Central.  Bouchard joins Jimmy Fitzpatick, Natalie Hill, and her older brother Kyle Bouchard as student/athletes from Houlton high school to earn athlete of the week honors.

Runner up

Camryn Lyons- Mattanawcook- basketball- recorded 23 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 54-43 win over Old Town. Recorded 26 points, 10 rebounds, six steals, and two assists in 60-29 win over Washinghton Academy.

Other nominations

Jordynne Littlefield- PCHS- basketball- scored 15 of her 23 points in the second half in 52-40 win over George Stevens.

Delani Bennett- PCHS- basketball- recorded 15 points, eight rebounds, four blocks, and two assists in 52-40 win over George Stevens.Recorded nine points, 10 blocks, and eight rebounds in 22-18 loss to Dexter.

Megan Peach- Dexter – basketball- scored 18 points in 44-25 win over Penquis. Recorded 18 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocks in 36-28 win over Schenck. Scored nine points and pulled down 11 rebounds in 22-18 win over PCHS.

Tate Dolley- Machias- basketball- put in 22 points in 45-37 win over Shead.

Nia Irving- Lawrence- basketball- scored 19 points in 76-34 win over Nokomis. Scored 16 points in 62-43 win over Brewer.

Faith Tirrell- Calais- basketball- scored 23 points, including 3 three pointers in 53-49 win over George Stevens.

Kelli Kennedy – Narraguagus- scored 28 points and had 15 Rebounds in 70-28 win over Machias..

Olivia Brown- Nokomis- scored 17 points, including going 9-10 from the free throw line in 42-30 win over MCI.
