Foxcroft Academy 2015/2016 swimming preview

November 23, 2015

Team/Sport: Swimming

Head Coach: Morgan Rublee

Expectations: Very few expectations–really focusing on building the program at the school.

Strengths: We have some incredibly dedicated returning swimmers, and several new members of the team who have great potential as swimmers.

Challenges: Filling our boys races. Last year, we lost some talented male swimmers, and this year we have very few returning boys. Those that are returning have limited experience. However, we have many new male swimmers this year, and I believe some will reveal themselves to be competitive in meets.

Key Swimmers:

Avery Carroll–versatile and talented swimmer, happy, upbeat person to have around, natural leader
Jenna Clukey–only a sophomore, but incredibly dedicated and talented. Will certainly be one to watch in the upcoming years as well.
Gabbie Johnson–returning after receiving a concussion in the middle of last season, will be a strong swimmer.

Coaches Remarks: As a new coach, I’m excited to take on the challenge of coaching both the boy’s and girl’s swim teams at FA. The kids are simply fun to be around, and, after only a week of practice, I’m starting to notice some great improvements from our new swimmers!
