The Boston Celtics currently have a 12-9 record, and are only 0.5 behind the Toronto Raptors for first place in the atlantic division. That is all good, and this Celtics team is good enough to contend all season. The next week, may show if the Celtics can do more than contend.
The Celtics play three of their next four games at home. All three of the home games come against the best the NBA has to offer. This evening, the Celtics play host to the Chicago Bulls. On Friday, the undefeated Golden State Warriors come to town. The Celtics will hit the road to face the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night. They come back home to face the Cleveland Cavaliers next Tuesday night.
The Cavs and Bulls are the top two teams in the central division. The Warriors will come to Boston with a 23-0 record. The Celtics will not only face some of the best teams in this stretch, they will also face some of the best individual talent. Lebrun James, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Derrick Rose and others will be worth the price of admission. Thompson is questionable for Friday’s game with a sprained ankle. For the Celtics and Danny Ainge, it will be a test to see where the green currently stand against the NBA best. A great week, may force Ainge to make a move before the trade deadline to get another key piece.
