DOVER-FOXCROFT—- It is good to start quick to set the tone for a game or a quarter. The Dexter Tigers boys basketball team did just that in a 41-38 victory over Foxcroft Academy on Saturday evening.

The Tigers started the first and second quarters with a 6-0 run. They started the second half with a 7-0 run to take a 29-18. The Ponies went on a 6-0 run of their own to cut the deficit to 31-25 heading into the fourth quarter.

Zach White gave the Tigers a 35-29 lead with 3:50 remaining in the fourth quarter. Joshua Reed made one of two free throws to cut the deficit to five. Joshua Simcock made two free throws to give the Tigers a seven point advantage. Brayden Miller hit two free throws down the stretch to secure the victory for the Tigers.

Jason Campbell added eight points, four rebounds, and two assists. Simcock chipped in with four points, while William Strauch put in three points. Dexter (7-3) will travel to Penquis on Monday.
