Eastern Maine Sports to broadcast Dexter/PCHS girls basketball on Friday night

On Friday evening, the Dexter Tigers girls basketball team will travel to Guilford for a key class C north contest against Piscataquis Community High School (PCHS).

The Tigers are currently fourth in the Maine Principals’ Association heal point standings. The Pirates are fifth in the current standings. The top four will advance to the quarterfinal round of the class C tournament at the Cross Insurance Center. Teams seeded five through 12 will have to play a preliminary round game for the chance to advance to the quarterfinal round, Dexter defeated PCHS 22-18 at Dexter on December 12th.

Friday night is also the third annual “fill the gym for childhood cancer”. Proceeds from the door and concessions will be donated to the Aliza Jean Cancer Foundation. Also, all sponsor money for the Eastern Maine Sports broadcast will go the Aliza Jean Cancer Foundation.
