HAMPDEN- The Hampden Academy girls basketball team used a balanced scoring attack on Thursday night on their way to a convincing 63-30 Class A North victory over visiting Skowhegan on senior night at the Broncos home court.

Sophomore guard Marissa Gilpin buried a pair of three pointers in the opening quarter as Hampden held a 13-8 lead after the first 8 minutes.

The Broncos blew the game open by outscoring the Indians 16-6 in the second quarter to build a 15 point halftime lead.
