UMF baseball comes home after comeback win and red hot start to the season

The University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) defeated St. Joseph’s College (Maine) 12-9 on Saturday afternoon at Auburndale, Florida. The Beavers scored seven runs in the eighth inning and two more in the ninth to cap off a comeback win and an incredible Florida trip.

Dustin McCrossin had four hits (two doubles), four RBI, and two runs scored to pace the offense. Sean Cabaniss,Grayson Beressi,and Jordan Croteau added two hits each.

UMF comes home with a 7-2 record, including going 5-1 in Florida. The Beavers are hitting .299 as a team. Croteau is hitting .522 (12-23) with seven runs scored and seven RBI. Cabaniss is hitting .444 with eight runs scored, two doubles, and two triples. Jimmy Parks is hitting .421 with nine runs scored, seven RBI, and five walks. McCrossin is hitting .355 with eight runs scored and 11 RBI.  UMF opens up Conference play with a doubleheader at Husson on Sunday, April 3rd.
