Husson baseball sweeps UMF

The Husson University Eagles baseball team swept the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) in a doubleheader played at Hippach field in Farmington on Wednesday afternoon.

The Eagles won game one by a score of 3-1 behind a one hitter from Robert Graff. He allowed one unearned run, while walking two and striking out six. Ryan Rebar had two hits and two RBI to lead Husson to a 3-2 victory in game two.

JT Whitten had two hits and two RBI in the two games, including a solo homer in game one. Zach Sugar reached base three times in game one, while Christian Corneil had one hit and two RBI.

Ben Holmes pitched two scoreless innings of relief to earn the game two victory. Ben Walls pitched a scoreless seventh inning to earn the save. Husson (13-10/8-2) will play a four game weekend conference series at Colby-Sawyer.  UMF (8-10/1-7) will host Lyndon State in a four game conference series this weekend.
