The red hot Boston Red Sox will welcome the Houston Astros to Fenway Park for a four game series starting Thursday night.

The Red Sox have won four straight games, including a three game sweep over the Oakland Athletics. In the series against he A’s, the Red Sox scored 40 runs, becoming the first team since the 1999 Cleveland Indians to score at least 13 runs in three consecutive games.

The Red Sox have six players who are hitting .297 or higher. They have four players who are hitting .320 or higher. Jackie Bradley JR enters play on Thursday on a 17 game hitting streak. He is hitting over .400 during the streak.

The Astros have won three of their last four games, including taking two out of three against the Cleveland Indians in their most recent series. Marwin Gonzalez hit a two run walk off home run to lift the Astros to a 5-3 victory in 16 innings on Wednesday.

The Red Sox are 21-13 and tied with the Baltimore Orioles at the top of the American League East. The Astros are 14-21, third place in the American League West, 7.5 games behind the Seattle Mariners.

The pitching matchup in the series opener will highlight the series when two former Cy young winners will take on each. The Aces will look to turn around the season as Dallas Keuchel will look for his first win since April 15th for the Astros.
