At Dexter, Hannah Dorman recorded four goals in leading the Dexter Tigers girls soccer team to a 6-1 victory over the Piscataquis Community High School (PCHS) Pirates on Saturday morning.
Dorman got the scoring started on an assist from Ashley Reynolds just 11:07 into the contest. Kayli Cunningham gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead just a minute after the Dorman goal.
Sara Almirante cut the lead in half when she scored the Pirates lone goal with 15:26 remaining in the first half on an assist from Mya Young. Dorman scored with 8:33 remaining in the first half and her third goal just before halftime.
The Dorman/Cunningham connection did it again to put the game away when Dorman scored with 9:54 left in the second half, while Cunningham finished the scoring with 7:12 remaining. Reynolds finished with two assists.
Reaghan Patterson made three saves on eight shots for the Tigers. Dexter (1-0) will host Central on Wednesday. Alivia Hunt and Hope Adkins combined to make nine saves on 19 shots for the Pirates. PCHS (0-1) will travel to Howland for a meeting with PVHS on Wednesday.
