Record 2015- 11-4-1
Reached the Eastern Maine Quarter Finals

Head Coach- Luis Ayala (15th season)

Expectations- We have lost a lot of talented soccer players the last two years. It is now these players turn to step up and continue the great tradition of FA soccer. They have worked hard this summer and had a great Pre-Season. We will be in the mix a top the very competitive Class B division.

Strengths- The Key for us is going to be the leadership of our Captains this year. They have to lead the team by example and be a positive role model for our new players. To be that leader on the field when things get tough. They have led this team this summer during the summer league and by getting everybody ready for Pre-Season.

Challenges- Is going to keep our top players healthy throughout the year. We have a very talented group on the field that can play with anyone. We can play13 deep, but if injuries occur we don’t have the experience on the bench to sustain any serious injuries to our starters. We have a very tough schedule early on. We open the season @ Presque Isle, vs. Ellsworth, and @ MDI.

Key Players/Position

Team Captains- Senior-Logan Butera and Chandler Rockwell.
Juniors- Josh Reed and Levi Stedman

Logan Butera (Sr) Goalie- returning Captain, 4X Varsity starter, Class B All Northern Maine Team. A solid presence on goal, anticipates well, and has great hands. He has played for the CMU club team, and has played for the ODP Team in Maine.

Chandler Rockwell (Sr) Forward- He has speed and can beat anyone one on one. He is a hard worker and always gives his all. Has a great positive attitude that is very contagious.

Josh Reed (Jr) Sweeper- He is the anchor in the defense. He gained a lot of valuable experience last year and learned a lot from a great group of Seniors. Is his turn to step up and lead!

Levi Stedman (Jr) Mid-Fielder- He is coming back from a broken leg injury he suffered last season. He has been looking great in Pre-Season and looks to be 100% healed. He will be the leader in the mid-field to create opportunities in the offense and to shut down the other team’s best player.

New Players-
Jason Eubanks (Sr)- Forward/ Mid-Fielder
Nick Fortier (Sr)- Forward
Jae Park (Jr)- Forward

Coaches Remarks-
We had a great number of kids come out for soccer this year. With 40 plus kids trying out this year that means that everybody is pushing each other for those starting spots. This just makes our level of soccer better. It is the turn of these Seniors and Juniors to lead the team. I am really excited and proud of this group of kids. They have made a commitment to soccer and it shows.

To be successful this year we are going to rely a lot on our Keeper, Senior Logan Butera. He has been a Varsity starter since his Freshman year. He has been a top goalie in our Conference, Region, and State. Also, are going to rely of heavily on our Captains and Seniors. They need to step up and continue the great tradition of soccer here at FA. It’s not going to be easy Class B is a very competitive league.
