Well I got off to a slow start out of gates last weekend but it was only the first weekend of countable games. This weekend the Maine Black Bears welcome in the #3 team in the country and I also pick two other games in the top 10.

Season record 1-2-1

Last weeks results-

Friday, October 7th

Maine 5, RPI 1 correct pick

Northeastern 2, Quinnipiac 2 tied pick

Saturday, October 8th

Maine 4, RPI 2 incorrect pick

Quinnipiac 5, Northeastern 2 incorrect pick

This week:

Friday, October 14th

#3 Quinnipiac (1-0-1) at Maine (2-0-0)

The Black Bears come off an opening weekend sweep over RPI. Maine also recieved votes in the Top 25 poll and are in at #27 this week. The Bobcats are the national runners up and are poised to make another run into the Frozen Four. Quinnipiac tied #15 Northeastern 2-2 last Friday before beating the Huskies 5-2 Saturday night.

The pick- The Black Bears face a much stiffer opponent in the Bobcats. Maine must stay out of the penalty box and convert their chances into goals. I like the way Maine played in the opening weekend but still gonna take a while to gel. Quinnipiac 4, Maine 2

#5 Notre Dame (2-0-0) at #4 Minnesota-Deluth (0-0-2)

The Irish moved up to fifth in the nation and had an easy weekend in sweeping Arizona State last week by scores of 9-2 and 4-2. The Bulldogs went to UMass-Lowell and tied the Riverhawks twice last weekend.

The pick- The Irish improve to 3-0. Notre Dame 5, Minn-Duluth 3

Saturday, October 15th

Quinnipiac at Maine

Night number two at the Alfond and with a huge homecoming crowd on hand the Bears go for a split.

The pick- Maine plays more disciplined in the finish of the two game series and comes up with a split. Maine 3, Quinnipiac 2

#2 Boston University  (1-0-0) at #10 Denver (0-2-0)

The Terriers opened their season with an easy 6-1 win at Colgate while Denver dropped both of their games to Ohio State and Boston College.

The pick-  Jimmy Montgomery will not allow his Pioneers team to start 0-3.  Denver 4, Boston University 3
