The Central high school boys soccer team defeated Sumner 4-0 on senior day in Corinth on Saturday afternoon.
Ethan Mailman and Andrew Speed enjoyed their last home regular season game by scoring two goals each for the Red Devils. Speed now has 81 career goals. Central (12-1) will finish the regular season at Greenville on Tuesday afternoon.
Central is currently seeded third in the Maine Principals’ Association class C heal point standings. They still could finish anywhere from first through fourth in the final standings. They will host a quarterfinal game on October 25th.
Sumner finishes the regular season with a 6-8 record. The Tigers currently hold the 11th and final tournament spot in class C. Penquis is right behind Sumner, and have two games remaining in the regular season.
