UMF field hockey gets by Thomas in NAC action

Carly Raymond and Emmah Spahr scored goals just 2:46 apart in the first half to lead the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) Beavers to a 2-0 win at Thomas on Saturday.

Abby Charrier stopped 12 shots in goal for the Terriers. Thomas (3-10/1-3) will host Plymouth State in anon conference game on Wednesday night. Patty Smith needed one save to register the shutout for the Beavers. UMF (8-3/3-1) will also play Wednesday evening as they head back to Waterville for a non conference clash against Colby.
