Big second half propels UMaine Machias men’s basketball to road win over UMaine Augusta

The University of Maine at Machias men’s basketball scored 62 second half points as they came back from a 10 point deficit in a 99-88 Clippers win at UMaine Augusta on Tuesday night.

Dave Kaimbach scored 23 points to lead a group of five Clippers that finished in double figures. Travonne Thompson scored 15 points and pulled down 16 rebounds. Jimmy Buzzell came off the bench to score 12 points in 17 minutes. Sonny Otutu and Bryan Kaimbach added 10 points each.

Jordon Holmes led UMaine Augusta with 31 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Dustin West scored 26 points, including 7-10 from three point range.Dustin Simpson-Bragg filled up the stat sheet with 14 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks, and three steals.

UMaine Machias (4-2/4-1) will be off until November 30th when they will host University of Maine at Fort Kent.
