A 3-1-0 performance last week moves me to six over as we roll into Week 7. Maine ended their seven game winless streak last week on the front end of a home and home with Lowell for my only blemish. This week Maine travels to Burlington for a two game series with Vermont while Providence and Northeastern battle in a home and home series both looking for their first Hockey East win.

Last week 3-1-0  Season record 13-7-4

Last weeks results:

Friday 11/11

Maine 5 UMass-Lowell 2 incorrect pick

Michigan 4 Boston Univ 0 correct pick

Saturday 11/12

Boston Univ 4 Michigan 2 correct pick

Sunday 11/13

UMass-Lowell 4 Maine 1 correct pick

This weeks games:

Friday, November 18

Maine (4-6-2, 1-3-0 Hockey East) at Vermont (6-3-1, 2-2-0)

Maine was able to pick up their first conference win last Friday at the Alfond in topping #5 Lowell before losing the back end of the home and home on the road. Maine historically has struggled at the Gutterson FieldHouse and doesn’t have a road win so far this year. Vermont comes in off a 2-1 win Saturday at UMass and a 5-2 Tuesday night home win over Dartmouth.

The pick- I didn’t have to think too long about this one. Maine struggles on the road and always struggles at Vermont. VERMONT 4, MAINE 2

#19 Providence (3-3-2, 0-1-1) at Northeastern (3-4-4, 0-3-2)

A home and home between the Friars and Huskies both still searching for their first league win. Providence hasn’t played since a 2-2 with Merrimack on 11/5. Northeastern lost 5-2 and tied 0-0 at home vs #9 Notre Dame last weekend.

The pick- I sense a Huskies win as they get into the win column in Hockey East. NORTHEASTERN 3 PROVIDENCE 1

Saturday, November 19

Maine at Vermont

Night two, same outcome for the Bears.

The pick- Still no road wins for Maine as they fall to 1-5 in Hockey East. VERMONT 5, MAINE 3

Northeastern at Providence

The scene switches to Schneider Arena for game two.

The pick- Just like the Huskies did Friday, it’s the Friars turn to pick up their first league victory.  PROVIDENCE 4, NORTHEASTERN 3
