Gronk to have back surgery

December 1, 2016

The New England Patriots are 9-2, so you think everything should be great in Foxboro, right?

The optimistism went down a bit when the team announced tight end Rob Gronkowski will be having back surgery tomorrow. The reports are that he could be out eight weeks with some saying it is season ending. The Super Bowl is nine weeks away, so either way they would have to make it to the big game for their big tight end to have any chance of playing.

The Patriots will need their other offensive weapons, especially Martellus Bennett to come up big down the stretch. The Patriots host the Rams this Sunday at 1 PM.

The Patriots are tied with the Oakland Raiders are 9-2 for the best record in the AFC. They are two games ahead of the Dolphins at the top of the AFC East.
