Lee Academy Boys fend off fierce comeback by PCHS

GUILFORD— A tightly contested game between Lee Academy and PCHS came down to the wire as Lee Academy pulled out on top to advance to 5-0 with a 54-52 win over PCHS.

Lee Academy led from start to finish but PCHS who fought tooth and nail trying to comeback from a 10 point deficit fell short in the final seconds after a missed half court shot by Bryce Gilbert ended their fierce comeback at the final buzzer.

The Pandas were  led by Nathan Gillman who had a game high 30 points along with five rebounds, Tony Chu who tallied 10 points.As a team Lee had three blocks and four steals, and had a game high 24 fouls with three players fouling out.

For PCHS they drop to 3-4 on the season, they were led Bryce Gilbert who tallied 25 points while Damyan True had 17 points (10-11 FT) and 11 rebounds  As a team PCHS had two steals and three blocks and had 15 team fouls.

Up next for Lee they will travel to George Stevens Academy tomorrow to face the undefeated Eagles. Game time at 7pm.

For PCHS they will host PVHS on Saturday in a makeup game from earlier in the month. Game time 7pm.
