On Friday night, Piscataquis Community high school (PCHS) will host the 4th annual Aliza Jean games, when the Pirates host the Greenville Lakers in a varsity doubleheader.
The Aliza Jean Family Cancer Foundation’s mission is to provide financial support for local families, who have a child fighting cancer. For more information, click here.
Eastern Maine Sports will have live Audio coverage of both games starting with the girls contest at 5:20 PM. Coverage of the boys game will start approximately at 6:55 PM.
The PCHS girls team comes in at 9-2 and are currently second in the Maine Principals’ Assocation class C North heal point standings. The Pirates have won seven straight games.
Greenville is 5-6 and sixth in the class D South standings. The Lakers defeated Katahdin on Wednesday to snap a three game losing streak. PCHS defeated Greenville 53-39 on December 15th.
The PCHS boys team comes in at 4-5. The Pirates haven’t played a game since losing 64-41 at George Stevens on January 10th. The Pirates are currently 12th in the class D North standings. The Pirates will have four big heal point worthy games in the next eight days, including the clash with the Lakers. Eastern Maine Sports will also have live Audio of the Pirates game on January 23rd when they host Dexter and January 28th when they host Orono.
Greenville has won eight straight games since a season opening loss at Machias. The Lakers are second in the class D South standings. They will follow the tough game at PCHS with a home game against the undefeated Machias Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.
