Defenseless Red Sox fall in series opener to Orioles

The Boston Red Sox made four defensive errors, including three in the eighth inning as they fell to the Baltimore Orioles 5-2 on Monday night at Fenway Park. 

The Red Sox allowed three unearned runs in the eighth inning. They also made a base runner blunder in the bottom half of the eighth inning. 

While the Red Sox were making blunders, Adam Jones and Manny Machado made multiple outstanding plays for the Orioles. Machado also hit a sixth inning home run off of Rick Porcello. 

Xander Bogaerts led the Red Sox offensive attack with two hits. Porcello allowed two runs in six innings. He allowed five hits and no walks, while striking out seven.
