The top ranked softball team in the North Atlantic Conference, the Husson Eagles, are getting set to host the NAC playoffs on O’Keefe Field at Husson University beginning Friday morning.
Husson (27-11, 11-1 NAC) earned the top spot by splitting a road doubleheader with Castleton Saturday, and sweeping two games at New England College Sunday. The Eagles only blemish on the conference schedule was the 1-0 loss Saturday to Castleton, who is the number two seed for the tournament this weekend. Husson opens up the tourney Friday at 10 a.m. against the Pilgrims of New England College.
