Pomeranz and Sandoval lead Red Sox to win over White Sox in series finale

Drew Pomeranz turned in his best performance of the season in leading the Boston Red Sox to a 4-1 win at Chicago over the White Sox on Wednesday night.

Pablo Sandoval led the offensive attack with three hits. Sandoval also scored a run and had a RBI in. Afour run sixth inning. It was his first game since returning from the disabled list.  Christian Vazquez smacked a two rin double. Craig Kimbrel struck out the side in the ninth inning to record his 15th save. Kimbrel’ ERA is now 0.75.

The Red Sox took two out of three against the White Sox. They have won eight of their last 10 as they start a four game series in Baltimore on Thursday night.
