Pomeranz strong and Betts hits big homer in Red Sox win at Houston

Drew Pomeranz turned in one of his best performances in a Red Sox uniform, while Mookie Betts hit a go ahead home run to give the Boston Red Sox a 2–1 at Houston on Friday night. 

Pomeranz allowed one run in 6.1 innings on four hits and three walks, while striking out four.

Mitch Moreland had one hit and one RBI.  Betts scored two runs. Joe Kelly, Matt Barnes, and Craig Kimbrel pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief.
