According to ESPN, the New England Patriots have reached a deal on signing former Jets linebacker David Harris to a two year contract.
The base salary of the deal is five million with 1.25 million of guaranteed money. Harris could make up to 6.75 million with incentives.
In 10 years with the Jets, Harris had 1,087 tackles, 35 sacks, 31 passes defenced, and six interceptions. The 33 year old was cut earlier this month by New York.
The Patriots continue their run at picking up players from within the AFC East, as earlier this year they signed cornerback Stephon Gilmore and running back Mike Gillislee from Buffalo. Last offseason they picked up wide receiver Chris Hogan from the Bills.
