Drew Pomeranz allowed three runs on seven hits and five walks, while striking out four. Pomeranz is now tied for the lead league in wins.
Christian Vazquez went 4-4, including a long two run home run that gave the Red Sox a lead in the seventh inning. Eduardo Nunez also hit a home run.
Craig Kimbrel gave up two runs in the ninth inning, but held on for his 30th save. The Red Sox snapped a four game losing streak and have a 3.5 game lead in the American Leagie East.
