Foxcroft comes back to earn boys soccer win over Dexter

DEXTER— The Foxcroft Ponies scored two goals late in the second half to earn a 3-2 boys soccer win over Dexter on Monday afternoon. 

Cody Tetlow scored the game winner for the Ponies with 1:44 remaining. Simison Wanimbo scored the tying goal with 7:12 left on an assist from Jacob Olsen.

The Tigers held a 2-1 halftime lead behind goals from Matt Richards and Nathan Richards. Matt Richards also got an assist and has recorded nine goals and three assists through the first three games this season for the Tigers. 

Alex Atkinson scored a first half goal for the Ponies. Atkinson freshman classmate Lucas Ames recorded 13 saves on 15 shots. Foxcroft (2-2) will host PCHS on Wednesday.

Tigers freshman goalie Brett Kusneirz had 10 saves on 29 shots. Dexter (1-1-1) will play at Bucksport on Wednesday.
