Foxcroft boys soccer win home opener over PCHS

DOVER-FOXCROFT – It was Foxcroft Academy’s home opener versus PCHS. The Pirates came out fast and scored 10 minutes in when Dillion Drew scored on a break away from the left side of the field just outside the goalie’s box. The Ponies were able to settle in after and controlled the rest of the game. Jacob Olson scored two goals and Simison Wanimbo had one goal to give the Ponies a 3-1 lead at half.   

In the second half, Foxcroft was still able to control most of the possessions and quickly were able to capitalize on their opportunities. Jae Park, scored twice, and David Chen, scored FA’s last goal to give the Ponies a 6-2 victory.    

FA (3-2) Keepers Lucas Ames and Nate Skomars made 9 saves on 12 shots. Jacob Olson and Park had two goals, Wanimbo and Chen had one goal each. Austin Bickmore and Park both had two assists, and Bojia Yang and Wanimbo had an assist each.  

The Pirates (2-2) Keepers of Sean Kimball and Matt Robinson had 19 saves on 37 shots. Drew and Cameron Kane had a goal each.
