Sale struggles as Red Sox fall to Jays for second straight game

Chris Sale allowed five runs in five innings as the Boston Red Sox fell 9-4 to the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park on Tuesday evening.

Sale allowed eight hits, including four home runs. Sale struck out eight and has 308 strikeouts this season. That is five shy of the Red Sox club record set by Pedro Martinez. 

Chris Young led the offense with three hits. Sandy Leon hit a solo home run.

The Red Sox and Blue Jays will finish their three game series on Wednesday night. The Red Sox have a three game lead over the Yankees in the American League East with five games left in the regular season.
