Hayley Rossman has scored over 30 goals in 10 games this season for the Dexter field hockey team. Rossman and the Tigers will take their 10-0 record into a showdown with class B top team Winslow this afternoon. Rossman scored 12 goals to lead Dexter to three wins last week. That earned Rossman her second Charles Inn female athlete of the week.
Dominic Libbey powered Mattanawcook football to a 45-13 win over Mount View.Libbey became the seventh Mattanawcook student/athlete to earn athlete of the week honors. He joins Chase Vicaire (1-1-12), Trysten Pelkey (2) (10-13-13)
Courtney McIntyre (3) (5-23-15 ), Tia Tardy (3-8-14), Garrett Sutherland (11-2-14), and Emily Page (5-22-17). Libbey accounted for five touchdowns in the Lynx win over the Mustangs. Mattanawcook is currently 3-2 and second in the Maine Principals’ Association class D heal point standings. The Lynx play at Dexter this Saturday.
