It was Foxcroft’s Homecoming game, so the banners, the signs, cheerleaders, and the big crowd where all set for this big rivalry. Both teams are having great season, so a win for either team would be huge to help them in the standings. The Ponies took the lead early when Jacob Olson beat the Tiger’s defense, when he received a pass out wide from Shadane Hamilton, Olson was able to beat the goalie on the near side post , for a 1-0 Ponies lead. Foxcroft had a two to one shot ratio advantage on Dexter, but only lead 1-0 at half.

In the second half, Dexter was able to get the equalizer when Matt Richards was able to get a long ball pass and go on a breakaway. He beat Foxcroft’s keeper one on one. The Ponies responded five minutes later when Cody Tetlow received a through ball from Jae Park and Tetlow was able to blast it from ten yards out to beat Dexter’s goalie to nearside post. Again Dexter responded when Matt Richards scored on a breakaway from a long pass from his defense.

Foxcroft continued to hold possession of the ball for most of the second half and were finally able to stay ahead for good when Shadane Hamilton scored with 15 minutes left to play. Hamilton received a cross from Tetlow inside the goalie’s box for the game winner and a 3-2 Ponies victory.

Ponies (6-3) Keeper, Lucas Ames had 5 saves on 7 shots.Dexter’s (4-4-1) Keeper, Brett Kusnierz had 12 saves on 32 shots.
