October 5, 2017

The smallest player in the game had the biggest impact in game one of the American League Division Series between the Red Sox and Astros.

Jose Altuve became the ninth player in playoff history to hit three home runs in a playoff game as he led his Astros to an 8-2 win on Thursday afternoon.

Red Sox ace Chris Sale struggled from the start. He allowed seven runs in five plus innings.

Eduardo Nunez left the game in the first inning. Chris Young will most likely take his place on the roster. Hanley Ramirez came off the bench to get two hits. Mookie Betts and Sandy Leon also had two hits each.

Game two is scheduled for Friday afternoon at 2:05 PM.
