Bangor Christian and Richmond power programs highlight soccer state championship Saturday

The Maine Principals’ Association high school soccer state championship games will be played on Saturday.

The Class D boys game will feature Bangor Christian and Richmond. The teams have combined for 17 state titles, including Bangor Christian winning six of the last eight in class D. Richmond has won 10 total. They will play at3 PM at Hampden Academy.

Yarmouth has won 11 state championships, including the last three in class B. They will take on Winslow in the class B boys game at Deering high school.  The Black Raiders are looking for their first state title.

Ashland and Richmond have combined for six of the last seven girls state championships in class D. They will meet at 5:30 PM at Hampden. Madison (class C) and Presque Isle (class B) are going for their first girls state title, while Houlton girls (class C) are looking for their first state title since 1987.  Click here for the full schedule.
