Texas Tech starts quick and wins big over Black Bears

Texas Tech scored the first 11 points and never looked back in an 83-44 win over the University of Maine in a men’s basketball game at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas.

A three pointer from Aaron Calixte cut the deficit to 11-3. The Red Raiders followed that up with a 13-0 run to make it 24-3. Texas Tech held a 49-13 halftime lead.

Texas Tech (2-0) had 12 players in the scoring column, including four in double figures. Andrew Fleming and Ilija Stojiljkovic led the Black Bears with eight points each. Maine (0-2) will take on South Alabama at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut on Saturday at 5 PM.
