The Washington Wizards used a 12-0 run with about 5:30 remaining in the game Monday evening, and went on to defeat the Boston Celtics 111-103 at TD Garden in Boston.
Boston held a 95-90 lead before the Wizards run gave the visitors a seven point advantage. The Celtics never got closer than five in dropping to 27-10 on the year.
Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum both had 20 points for Boston. Terry Rozier had 16, while Al Horford and Daniel Theis added 12 a piece.
Bradley Beal had 25 points and eight rebounds for 19-15 Washington. John Wall had a double double with 21 points and 14 assists. Otto Porter Jr. added 20 points.
The Celtics will travel to Charlotte to battle the Hornets Wednesday at 7 p.m.
