Ducks fly past Bruins to end point streak

January 30, 2018

For the first time since December 14, the Boston Bruins suffered a regulation loss Tuesday night 3-1 at the hands of the Anaheim Ducks at TD Garden in Boston.

Adam Henrique had two goals, including a late third empty netter to help Anaheim to the road win. Jakob Silfverberg added the other Ducks goal. Ryan Spooner scored with 40 seconds left for Boston to cut the Anaheim lead to 2-1, before Henrique sent one into the empty cage from his own zone to end it.

Anton Khudobin made 24 saves against his former team in the Bruins net. The loss ends the streak of 18 straight games with at least a point for Boston, as they fall to 29-11-8. John Gibson stopped all 25 shots he faced in the Ducks net, before leaving with an injury in the third period. Ryan Miller stopped five of six shots the rest of the way for 25-17-9 Anaheim.

Boston will host St Louis Thursday night at 7 p.m.
