Oceanside baseball gets walk-off win over Nokomis

Titus Kaewthong’s bases loaded walk-off single scored Zach Cody and Uriah Thongsophaphone to give Oceanside a 4-3 win over Nokomis at Morrill Field in Rockland on Wednesday afternoon.

Oceanside scored first when Thongsophaphone walked to lead off the game, stole second and scored on a throwing error.  Oceanside made it 2-0 on Logan Sheridan’s Solo Home Run to lead off the 2nd.

Nokomis cut the deficit in half when Josh Emery reached on a error and scored on Andy Hopkins’ RBI single.

It remained 2-1 until the 7th, when Nokomis’ Josh Perry and Zach Hartsgrove reach on errors, with Perry scoring on Gabe Gilley’s RBI single and Hartsgrove on a double play.

Logan Sheridan went the distance for Oceanside, allowing three unearned runs on three hits and no walks while striking out four to earn the win.

Josh Perry also pitched a complete game, allowing four runs,two earned, on 9 hits and a walk while striking out six.
