Big first inning propels Medomak Valley baseball to win over Oceanside

Medomak Valley scored five runs in the first inning on three hits, including a two run single by Carson Murphy, two Oceanside errors and a Sacrifice Fly to lead the Panthers to the 6-1 home victory on Tuesday afternoon. Brent Stewart pitched a complete game for Medomak Valley, allowing just one run on eight hits on four walks and three strikeouts for the win. The Medomak Valley defense turned double plays in the sixth and seventh innings to snuff out Oceanside rallies.

Logan Sheridan went the distances for Oceanside, allowing six runs but only one earned, on six hits and one walk while striking out four to suffer the loss.
