UMaine field hockey pulls away from Northeastern in second half to start season 8-0

The University of Maine field hockey team scored seven second half goals and pulled away for a 9-1 win over Northeastern on Friday afternoon at Dedham, Massachusetts.

The Black Bears took a 2-0 lead when Emily Hindle and Ella Mosky scored first half goals. Libby Riedl sparked the second half attack with three goals. Casey Crowley added two goals while Lydia Gsvner and Nina Keur put in one each.

The 18th ranked Black Bears are now 8-0 will host Harvard on Sunday afternoon at 1 PM.
